Customers frequently highlight the cozy atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff, which contribute to a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant offers generous portions at reasonable prices, delivering great value. While most dishes receive high marks, a few items such as the dahi bhalley have been noted to diverge slightly from traditional tastes. Despite occasional slow service attributed to a small team handling orders, the overall sentiment remains positive, with many patrons eager to return and recommend the spot for genuine Desi cuisine in Edinburgh.
A small, cozy spot that instantly reminded me of the classic Andhe Wala burgers you’d find in Rawalpindi – simple, nostalgic, and full of flavor. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for what you get. Tried the dahi bhalley too – while they leaned a bit on the sweeter side and weren’t quite the traditional flavor, they still had a nice tangy taste that worked well overall.
The restaurant visit was amazing! The staff were super friendly and polite, making the atmosphere really pleasant. The food arrived quickly, and every dish was delicious with generous portions that matched the price perfectly. We're already looking forward to returning and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family when they're in Edinburgh!
Was craving an anda shami burger and exactly what I got! A bun kebab! In Edinburgh!!! Couple running the place were very sweet and welcoming. Food was awesome and the karak chai was perfect!
Hands down the best desi cafe in all of Scotland (one of the best in whole of Uk). Must try their anda Shami burger and samosa chat. Highly recommended
Had an authentic Karachi ( Pakistani) food taste. In 3 days visit of Edinburgh I went there two times for their halwa puri, paratha chana salan & mango lassi which is amazing. Want to try samosa chaat and dahi bhalley & bhature also. Must visit place. Easy to access from public transport. Service is bit late but its ok cx 1 person is doing cash & order things… Busiest place so try to come half an hour before you are about to eat lol.
Three large Puri's, Chana, Pickled Onions, Halwa -- all for just £8. A very generous and kind establishment indeed. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to fill themselves up. The food is not spicy at all and it's a very very generous portion. Best for students and cost-effective options.
Had the anda shami special burger which is well worth its money and a very good burger. Has the aloo paratha which you can’t even finish! Just like traditional food and tastes amazing. The food is the best I’ve had and for the portions and prices it’s a must go. The nimbu pani is amazing too.
